Hi all,

My name is Paul and I own a 1995 Eclipse RS. For now, it has a 16G turbo and a built bottom end. I've also upgraded the brakes, suspension, and other miscellaneous components.

If any of you visit DSMTuners, I'm a moderator there (VelocitàPaola). If anyone here is on 2GNT (I doubt it), I'm active over there as well.

I used to live in Miramar, then Plantation, and finally, now in Coral Springs. I've been meaning to get more involved with the local DSM community, but much of my time is split between being in FL and in Boston, MA where I go to school.

I own a business, SymTech Laboratories (symtechlabs.com) specializing in automotive and research laboratory embedded control systems and electronics. My company frequently does business with Concept Illuions and Treadstone Performance (based in Miami); so if you need anything, let me know and I may be able to arrange for a club/group rate.

That's it for now...

Never heard of either shop. You should get Treadstone to come on out to the Sport Compact Challenge Shop Series. Would definitely help them to get better known in the area. Plus, if they won, they'd have bragging rights as the fastest shop in SoFla. :)

Anyhow, welcome to the board.

I'm not sure if they have a shop car. They specialize in turbo kits for various applications; but they sell a damn good cast manifold for the 4G63.

I bought my turbo kit from treadstone, and will back them for being straight up dudes. My BOV I got with the kit was leaking when I installed it 8months after I bought the kit no questions asked. They replaced it for $20. After buying the kit 3days later I recieved it.

They don't need to have their own private shop-car - the shop can submit a customers car on their behalf. :)

Cool. Let your friends know too -- there are also the "sportsman" classes (ET, Hybrid, AWD) for "the rest of us". If I can ever get my whole situation sorted, I'm hoping to run the indexed heads up (hybrid) class.

Either way, it's fun to just go and hang out even if your car is down. :-D

Ha... I don't think any of my friends own cars modified beyond an air freshener and possible some tire shine.

I'll see what my schedule is like though. It'd be nice to go. At the very least I'll swing by Towers or the next club meet. Are they still on University Dr.?

It's all good Paul. Btw,
can you catch any Sox games while you're up there?
I know those are some hard tickets to get...

Just out of curiosity, at what point am I not a "Noob" anymore? I looked in the rules but didn't see any information about it. :D

20 Post.
I have it bookmarked so that at certain post counts it
changes the title under your handle. It doesn't means
that your a no0b per-say. Just new to the board.
You know how it goes...

I need to clean up and edit some of the rules to MAKE
everything more clear.(weird story :? )

Oh ok, I see now. I wasn't sure if that 20 rule post count only applied to FS/WTB ads or in general.

***

I'll see what I can do to scrounge up tickets for you if you're ever in town. Just let me know...

The 20 post count is just so, we know you're a real person.
Most boards do 20 and as high as 50 post before your allowed.
Some places just don't give a shit.
And of course there people who just come on boards like ours.
Just to try and sell things and that's not right.

But I'm pretty sure you're a legit guy Paul.
So it probably won't be long before you have access.
If anything just shoot me a pm about it.

And thanks for the offer, it might be a while before I visit Boston.
I try to go to Tampa to watch them play the rays. Those tickets
are cheap and the Sox fans fill the place up
I went last year for a 4day/3 game weekend, alot of fun....Image

We have a minimum post count on Tuners too; I fully understand the policy. I just wasn't sure what the actual minimum post count here was. I have no problem waiting to be a full member. I'll earn my wings just like everyone else. :P

By the way, I just got back into Florida tonight. I'll keep an eye on the Announcements/Events forums for anything coming up.

Cool. Is your car down here?

So how often are you traveling back and forth? Must
be exhausting sometimes?

Oh yeah... I come down here about five times a year for both work and family. The travelling isn't fun sometimes, but I always starve myself of sleep before the trip so I can sleep on the way home.

The car stays down here all the time. I couldn't bear to put her in the salt and snow up there.

Thanks! Whereabouts are you in Boca? I'm in Coral Springs... literally about 5 minutes from the border.

Real Boca I.E. "East" Boca. "West Boca" is actually unincorporated Palm Beach County. :D

I live near Federal, north of Glades, and south of Spanish River.

The Broward/Palm Beach border...

Yeah, you Easterners always hate on the Westerners. My girlfriend lives in West Boca, but she went to River; she said she always got crap about not living in "real Boca."
