How'd your shit pile run at Norwalk? For some reason it sticks in my head that you were picking up parts "on the way" and put it all back together at the track, yea?

I picked up the tranny the day we left for ohio. When I got to norwalk I threw the tranny in and tbelt on because the head had been off. Then the car wouldnt start. No compression. I eventually got it running but the compression is low on 3-4. I never got the shifter cables properly adjusted so I didnt make any decent passes.

Well, I know we don't personally know one another very well.
But when you're in South Florida, we're all here for one another.
Just post up whenever you need a hand...

I also up'ed your board privileges, so enjoy!

Do you think it's bent valves, bad ring seal, or leaking HG?

Good luck with the shifter cables -- they can be a pain. I just redid them on my car as the old ones had cracked boots and were starting to "stick".

The shifter cables are brand new, just need to spend time adjusting them.
The compression is low due to the rings. They werent sealing at all before I got the car running in ohio, 70psi across the board. Now the compression is up on all the cylinders but still not good enough. You can see the blow-bye out the oil fill cap in the valvecover and when I let off after making a pull. I think it was below service limit on 3-4, like 119-130psi. I dont know what the hell happened to the rings as the motor was fine before I had the block oringed.
