Ok fellow dsmers its time again for our stickball picnic. For those of you that went last year you know it was alot of fun and we all enjoyed our selves. We did loose last years game but we have to come back strong this year so who's down to come out and have some fun with the club. The dates will probably be on (Oct. 7th or 8th) and for location still undecided but I will kepp all of you posted. Basically exactly hat it sounds like. Its baseball with a stick and tennis ball. Pretty fun if you ask me. |

With baseball you need a lot of gear-- gloves, real baseball, bats, catcher's gear, etc. With stickball you just need a tennis ball and a broom handle. |

Gloves maybe, and of course a bat. You could use a tennis ball... MAke the game a lot more interesting as a tennis ball connecting with a baseball bat will fly. |

well we tried playing football once and after i scored 6 touchdowns everyone was puffing and weezing on the floor  . We dont play baseball because:1. Usually we dont have enough players to cover the field, so playing with a tennis ball and thinner "bat" instead limits the distance the ball can be hit. 2. If your slow your a$$ will get tagged out, if we played with a baseball it would hurt alot more. 3. Its late so someone else can fill in more reasons... |

I can't confirm for sure yet-- we're heading to Orlando that weekend. I think we're not leaving until Sunday, but I'm not sure. I'll check with HQ and provide an update soon. |
