You can always count on bad weather in South Florida. But that
doesn't stop South Florida DSM, yes! time for another meet everybody:

Parking lot @ Checkers
5590 N University Dr
Lauderhill, FL
->Map <-
There's a Discount Auto parts store across the street from us on the
NE corner of University and Commericial, just incase your still lost on
location. Please be there at 7pm sharp!

This is more or less an all DSM meet, N/t(420a's) and Evo's are also
welcome and upon ocassion our members will invite friend's from other
boards or clubs. Which is cool as long as everyone who stops/comes
by can be civil.

And if your car is not running don't feel bad, just try to stop by anyway
and have a good time(we welcome beaters :P ). I hope to see everyone
there this sunday, until then take care...

Hello Everyone. My name is Raul I'm new to the board but old in the DSM community. I just moved out here a few months ago from Jersey and currently live in West Palm Beach. I own 2 DSM's 92, 93 Eagle AWD's and my Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona. My 93 I bought brand new and drove it off the show room floor. My 92 is my beater car but no slacker. And of course my truck is to tow the race car around (93 talon). I love to go to the track to race and to watch when my car is resting. I have a lot of connections in the DSM community that I've built over the years and if you guys need any help don't hesitate to give me a shout. Hope to see you guys at the meet this Sunday which brings me to my next question:
What time do you guys usually get together?
I'll try to bring my 92 with me since my 93 is still in Jersey, haven't found a place where I can store her. The 92 needs an alternator that I just picked up but haven't installed it yet. I'll try to put it in on Saturday but not sure if my complex will give me a hard time working in the parking lot so we'll see. Worse case I'll come by with the truck. Take care guys.
Raul..

The meet is at 7pm. I have no idea why "O" neglects to put such information in the meet notifications......

*sigh*

I guess maybe I'll bring my shit-heap out this weekend. Have to wait and see what the weather has to say about that though...

Hey, not to jack the thread, but where in West Palm are you, Raul? I'm in Wellington. If I'm allowed to go on Sunday.... (parents said they will talk to me today lol) we can ride up together or whatever.

I won't be able to make it - but not because of my parents. I just have too much work to catch up on since I missed both of my Tuesday/Thursday classes this week due to being at Mitsu on Tues, and then last night.

"O", I will get you the money someway, somehow bud.
Lionel, I will pay you back for the pizza you bought, of which I only had 3 slices of.

It's ok, I'll get it from you the next time I see you man :)

Will, I don't know what happen, I used to have the time posted.
Maybe I just deleted that portion of the statement. And I never
payed attention, I corrected it now

And Raul welcome and hope to see you at meet. BTW, if you'd
like I can swap out an alternator in less than 20 mins on a 1G....

Wow  I thought I was quick but hey if you're down to help me out I'd appreciate it. 20 min swap i'm pretty sure my complex won't even see that. I'll be around all this weekend so I'll PM you my cell. Thanks for the welcome.
Raul.

20 minutes? Dude, you're still slow.

Raul, we used to (basically) have an alternator swap competition. O and I were burning through them so fast he and I were always swapping them out on the side of the highway, so we started doing it nascar pit-crew style and timing ourselves.

I think I was down to like 17 mins on my car.

With two well-coordinated people you can do one in ~10 mins.

And without power steering and the A/c fan, it's just loosen
one bolt and take out two others. And it's done put the new one in
and your good to go.

And yes Mike you left the pizza and I'm not really a pepperoni
guy, so i threw it out. Although I finshed my slices... :P

Yes, congrats Ced. I still have some work to do to get my
engine back together and in the car. I have all the parts I need,
so I'll probably be a little late tonight guys. See everybody later.....

So since you say "good meet" every time, what would constitute a "bad meet"?

Us getting kicked out or maybe two people showing up. I don't
believe I said good meet when Ced and Steve accident happen.

And when I say good meet, it's my way of saying: thanks
to everybody who came and made the meet what is was.

Yeah it was a good meet. For a minute there I thought nobody was going to show up. :o But you guys did and it was cool meeting all of you. It was a way better turn out than the Miami crew. Now lets get a track meet together and put some numbers on the board. I saw some fast looking cars last night, don't let my little 16g get you guys nervous :D
"O" don't forget to up my priviledges on here so I can move around a little. Thanks..
Raul..

I'm waiting on suspension and exhaust before I go back. Both should be in next week, then it's just a matter of installation. :rocking:

Hopefully I'll then be able to put up some good numbers instead of a "lame" mid-12.

Well, I've got new tires now... But the car is grinding 2nd all the time. I need to find time to figure out what that problem is, and go from there. I won't be at the track for a while.

Yeah change the fluid out and put in some Syncromesh. If it still grinds you can put in AutoTrans Fluid but you'll have to change out the fluid frequently until you can rebuild the tranny.
Now lets get to the track with this cold weather my car is pulling hard. She's itching to get to the track
