I was going to go, but I was helping Brian put in my old Dejon UICP/bov I sold him into his car.... took longer than expected, and ran into a problem with the bov lol. That one damn bolt holding the stock uicp in that's behind 2 hard lines(don't know what the lines are for) took like 45 min to get out cause we didn't want to bend or break the lines. Agim kindly came over and gave a hand lol. Then, when it came to the bov, Brian bought a used type s online and when we were testing it out, we found out it was leaking boost because the hole for the adjustment screw is stipped! Right now there is a ghetto rigged flat head screw in the bov until he can get to a machine shop and have it fixed  After all this I just wasn't in the mood to make the drive, and I was pretty tired also lol.

Why would you take the BOV to a machine shop? Just helicoil it with an M6x1.00 thread insert. Takes 10 minutes, if even.

Neither him, or I have that, so that was out of the question.

Discount auto sells the helicoil kit you need for $29.

You're able to use those same M6 helicoils for piles of other things too, so it's definitely not a wasted investment. You'll also need a 1/4" drill bit. WD-40 will make things go a lot easier as well.

Why not just tap it ? Easy and shouldnt be too hard for you to do.

I know all about helicoiling the BOV. :thumbs up:

And god damn it. I'm sick of such shitty photos. Next meet, I'm bringing out the camera. Everyone who is gone before I get there will have to live with shitty photos. :P

Shane you tap a new hole. To keep and/or save a threaded
hole you heli-coil it, just a little FYI.

And I agree with Ruben don't complain about the pics, bring your
camera next time. I asked him to take pics because nobody else
had their camera.

And mike here you go:

Lol, don't point the finger at me. It's Brian's bov, and he said he was going to a machine shop - I didn't suggest it, I'm just repeating what he said. I'll be sure to pass this on to him.

Huh? Was that English?

Not my fault your car has problems that are hidden until you fix something else that's screwed up.

coolant sensor, temp gauge, cam/cas...

My next prediction is that your car runs like ass because of those Magnecrap (or whatever they are) wires. OEM for the win!

:worthy:
