gets your booth space (any size) and up to 5 people in on Sunday.

CLASS SPONSORS. Always interested in having new sponsors on board.
Each class is $1500 to sponsor. This gets your name on the trophies,
announcements throughout the day about your business, your company
display in with vendor status and 5 people. Saturday at our open house a
limited size display can be put up at our open house. Your display space is
unlimited on Sunday at the track.

HOTELS

Amerihost 419-663-1922

Best Western 419-663-3501

Econolodge 419-668-5656

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BANNED BUSINESS's

Norwalk Arby's. REMEMBER DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY OR EVEN GO INTO THE
PARKING LOT OF THE NORWALK ARBY'S. ARBY's doesn't want us there,
they do not like our "crowd".

Wakeman Hardware. Another business that doesn't get it. The owner of
the hardware store also owns the vacant lot next to our shop, this year it
was roped off as he will not allow us to park there, even after I mowed this
property for 2 full years for him as a (free) favor. Do not visit the store,
do not use his bathroom.......he doesn't like that either. He is also one of the last
or at this point probably THE last remaining business is our small town
that is fighting having the street closed off for our event.

Guess I'd better start getting the car ready. :D

Tire rule has changed for DSA? Now it's just 140+ tread wear DOT tire? Not a Z-rated tire? Awesome. 8)

Open air element filters are only allowed for speed density setups?

Time to buy a TD05H appearing turbo.

EDIT: Oh, Adding to my previous questions...

It says "no sheetmetal intakes". What about cast intakes like the Hawver?

By "no headers", does he mean "no aftermarket exhaust manifolds"? So the FP Race manifold would be a no-no?

Aj, you're right.
These rules are confusing, hence why if I did ever race my car at the
shootout. it would be in one of the "bracket" classes...

Also, note that the DSA rules state tires rated for at least 140mph. I.e. no DOT slicks.

Yeah true, its all most can run if they are more modded than the Stock appearing class, which doesnt take much. A sheetmetal intake and your outta the game, tubular manifold, or those running not stock looking tdo5 turbos.

However still no n2o for either class, if you have a 10sec car in the DSE class your gonna at least have a chance. In the stock appearing you'll be hard pressed to find something that fast . Superb tuning, good driving, and making the most outta the minimal mods you are allowed to have. (might be a select few ...maybe...)

In quick 16 a 10 sec will get u no where but home, unless u get a lucky break.

DSA can easy be a low 11sec/high 10sec class.

DSE would be 9's to 10's as you say.

Q16... 7's to 8's are more than likely.

The catch is the turn-around time between runs. That's what causes the slower cars in the class to win most of the time. That and the initial round pairings cause the fast guys to knock each other out so you end up in semis with one fast car and three slow cars.

So what are everyones plans this year? I'd really like to go. I'd take the days off from work, and school doesn't start until the 22nd, if I take a Friday class.

I'm not planning anything out with anybody. I'm sorry if that sounds mean,
but last year we were all on a different page. It's a miracle myself, D and
Will all made it back together and in once piece(Don't ask :ignore: ).

My plans as of right now are to first get some income coming in.
I would like to tow the beast to Ohio and run in B2.

It's really a matter of money for me, once I have it.
I'll find a truck and trailer and be on my way.

Like moroso trips, I'll see you guys up there, hopefully.

With that being said, is there anybody else with even a remote interest in going?

I know D is set in terms of how he's going to get there.

I want to go and will go if I can.

Mike are you going to drive the Evo to Ohio?

Most likely not. I wouldn't want to run it or anything, just want to be there for the "shootout experience".

I meant drive the evo to Ohio and nothing more.

I don't expect anyone to drove over a thousand miles to race their car.

You really "feel" the experience having your car there.
I'm sooo glad I had my car there last year and if I can't have my car at
the shootout, I might not go.

It's cool to go even without your car to meet and greet, but I totally see how having your car there would add value to the experience.

As for driving the car 1000+ miles to race it, a lot of folks do -- though I'll add that I sure as shit wouldn't try it with my car (are you kidding? I fear trying to start it in my garage!).

I would like to go, but given my recent change in my work situation it doesn't look like it will happen this year. :( Have to wait and see.

Will, I never ended up asking you how it went last year.

I might actually consider going from Tallahassee, I'm not sure yet.

Who else is thinking about it?

Talk about a BLAST from the past.

Hey T, how's it going man?

As far as the last shootout goes, here's where we started talking about it:

Yeah, basically myself, Will and Diego went and had a great time.

Everybody should go to the shootout atleast once.

The Camo racing team should be there again this year, hopefully.
Fastest DSMLink powered car, they recently went 8.48@169MPH and 8.47@169MPH.

In terms of "stumbling on the site again". We have a thread going in the
announcement forum to make it easier on everybody finding the site.

Now either sofladsm-dot-com
or
sofladsm-dot-org
will bring you here.

I really want to go. Id fly up there obviously....not putting that many miles on my car/ risking something breaking. Id just rather relax on a flight, watch some sick ass DSMs and go home happy lol. Even tho itd be sick to have my car there in with the rest of its family.

Im seriously considering dishing out the money for the trip....

Idk who to go with tho lol

If you fly up there, how are you going to get to the track?

The airport in Cleveland is far away from the track.

you can rent a car at the airport for less than 50 per day. I was thinking about taking the car, but now because of the new toy that I might be getting I doubt I will go, and if I do go most likely I will fly. So Brian I will let you know, I might be flying with you... lol

40% chance of rain on Sunday. 60% chance on Monday (supposed rain date).

Only 20% chance on Saturday though. Blah.

Yea, in time for Fay, woo! :-D

Hopefully we can get a larger group together next year. As Omar said, it's definitely a good thing to experience at least once for a DSMer.
