^ I agree.

Will, I am going to assume a plus one, since I'm having a
hard time getting a firm yes.

Hey everyone! If you could please post up what firearms you'll be bringing with you to the range day it would be appreciated!

This way we can have a rough idea of what will be out there and available to shoot!

See you Sunday!

I'm currently expecting to bring:

G34 - 9mm
G19 - 9mm
G21 - .45acp
Ruger 22/45 - .22lr
AR-15 pistol - 5.56
AR-15 pistol - 9mm
Savage 16 - .308 win
AK-47 - 7.62x39 win
Remington 11-87 - 12ga

However, this may change depending on what others bring. I'm trying to minimize my gear and ammo "load out" so hopefully the rest of y'all will fill in the "gaps".

Mike you bought an AR?
I hate you, I want one(I think I'm going to build one).

Will I thought you had a Siaga?

I am still just bringing my Sig, I put another 150 rounds through
it the other day. I also have some 18*18 cardboard.

I have a Saiga, among a bunch of other stuff. Imagine something the size of your fridge, but completely filled with guns instead of food.

I'd figured I'd leave it at home though, because it's not a "cool" Saiga like this:

Image

it's a "lame" Saiga like this:

Ok so add one more, my girlfriend's brother is coming. There is no minimum age limit, is there? He's 20.

I don't see any info about this on the website.

If you're on fb look there.

Most ranges are 21 to shoot, unless accompanied by an older family member.

So far as I'm aware, under 18 requires parent/guardian permission. Other than that, anything goes.

You only have to be 21 to buy handgun ammo, or to buy a handgun from a dealer. You can own a handgun at 18 and buy one private party at 18, but you still have to have someone else buy the ammo for it (insane, isn't it?).

So he'd need like a permission slip? Lol

No permission slip needed for your 20 y.o. "brother in law".

Again, the only age restrictions are:

1) Must be 21 to buy handguns/handgun ammo/NFA from a dealer
2) Must be 18 to own a firearm (title I or title II, including handguns) or buy rifle ammo.

At 20 years old, he will have no problems at a range other than renting a handgun from the range (i.e. a dealer; see #1 above) or buying ammo from them (again #1).

I don't venture much beyond my usual few ranges, so I can't speak to the "most ranges" part, but I don't know any that require you to be 21 -- the ones I go to are all 18 unless with parent/guardian.

I would guess, however, that in the interest of business "most" ranges would not refuse customers who are legal to transact business with.

Alrighty, I mis-read what you had posted. I know he's excited to come. I've taken him a few times to SS and he's not bad.

I guess every range is different, at BP it's 21(strange).
I'll get a pic of the "rules" next time I go there.

Anyways, are the explosives targets coming?

Ah, yea, BPS is a range I generally don't get over to (I think I've shot there maybe 2 or 3 times total?). They are one bizzarro place though. They sell ammo they won't let you shoot there, and I've gotten reprimanded for cleaning up the brass around my "station" after I finishing shooting. Plus, with "no reloads" and "no steel case/steel core" it restricts a lot of shooters, and they also get bent out of shape over some calibers as well.

They also get really upset if you do anything more than double taps... well, unless they can't hear it -- then they don't say anything.

Yes, I'll have some "fun" targets out there. But who's gonna bring the fruit? :lmao:

Wow, I always clean up brass around me as well, but I usually go
there last minute. 10$ to shoot and it's fairly clean there. :dunno:

Anyways, so far I have a solid yes from my buddy Paul.
He is bringing his Glock(9mm) and some big paper targets.
I told him if he runs out of ammo, he gonna have to buy it from Will.

I have a good supply(I think) of cardboard, like 10-12 18*18 sheets.
I have a small collection of 1 gal bottles, still working on that.
Ammo is still an issue, I still have to hit walmart up, Bass Pro if I get desperate.

Tomorrow I will give a final supply list update.
Will, like we discussed I really want to shoot the slide stock and
anything else you think is interesting.

Somebody bring drinks incase it's hot(suggestion).

Final check list:

AR
1911
XD
SR22

2 watermelons
Cardboard for targets

After some BS at walmart and waiting nearly an hour, I picked some ammo.

1 box of 7.62
1 box of .223
250 rounds of .40

A couple of 1 gal bottles, I told my buddy to bring some as well.

There was a small box of Tula .45, otherwise it was REAL slim pickings
except for .22, 30-06, 12ga and some 9mm.

Bizzare; up by me there's no 9mm to be had at any walmart around.

I've got ammo by the fuckload for tomorrow if y'all need to pick some up "last minute":

7.62x39, .223/5.56, and 9mm

I went through the same thing(BS), except I didn't take no for an answer.

And Will, like I said, some 9mm, not alot.
I figure everyone will buy from you so, I left it there.

What a Blast that was, literally!

As always, thanks to Will for bringing out his toys for all of us to play with.
And the the instructions/education that come with it.

It will be a while before I get everything uploaded to YT.
And I'll just put all of my pictures in a zip for everyone to
download at their leisure.

Good times.

Yes, it was a great day! My girlfriend and her brother enjoyed it very much!

It was also great to see everyone again, it's been too long!

I have the video and pictures off of my camera already. Gonna get the stuff from the gf's brother's camera and make 1 big video. Omar, if you want, send me the video in a zip file and I can add your stuff too.

No thanks necessary. I'm just happy we can all still get together, hang out, and have a good time!

I have a couple thoughts for next time too:

1) fill the bottles with foam ("right stuff") so they can take more than one hit
2) build a rack to hang bottles from
3) cut target wood in half
4) get steel targets

So, which one of you is going to fess up to dropping 3rds of .22 onto one of the target stands?

Sweet. Piecing together the pics and vids I took came out to 14 minutes before editing, which I will do after I get the footage from everyone.

As for my shoulder, it is a little sore, and I just have a tiny red mark. Damn that shotgun!

No soreness, and no marks.

Y'all need to get out and shoot more!

I'm looking forward to the videos! :D

I only "feel" it if I apply pressure to the area. I was surprised to find I
had a bruise and a decent sized one at that. I had no idea, nor did I
think to check. I found it when I came out of the shower and looked at
the mirror to shave.

In any case, I agree I do need to get out and shoot more, -> big guns.
:P
