Alright everybody, this might just be it for 06'. It's been a great year,
some up's some down's but alot of fun. So once again, it's time
for (maybe)one more South Florida DSM meet:

Parking lot @ Checkers
5590 N University Dr
Lauderhill, FL
->Map <-
There's a Discount Auto parts store across the street from us on the
NE corner of University and Commericial, just incase your still lost on
location.

Please be there at 7pm sharp! For every minute you're late
is one psi of air that will be removed from your tires...

This is more or less an all DSM meet, N/t(420a's) and Evo's are also
welcome and upon ocassion our members will invite friend's from other
boards or clubs. Which is cool as long as everyone who stops/comes
by can be civil.

And if your car is not running don't feel bad, just try to stop by anyway
and have a good time(we welcome beaters :P ). I hope to see everyone
there this sunday, until then take care...

Yeah, I might make it out. I'm also studying for finals, and I have to pick up my girlfriend from the bus station.

O you have to get it threw your head if people dont show up to a meet it was probably for good reason or maybe they just didnt want to come out remember it's not a obligation for people to go to a meet it just a hangout spot/

You should feel obligated to come!
I had a final due at 8am today and I stoped what
I was doing to come and hangout with you guys.
I understand things happen, Will was out of town, ok. Maybe
the weather is really bad and we have a few WP guys.
Which is a far drive,ok, but last night was perfect. Possibly
the last meet of the year, I personally look forward to our meets.
They kick ass, but when people show up!

Will was in Virginia. Mike said he probably wouldn't make it because of studying. Aramus' car wasn't running. Shane's car is never running. Don't know where Steve was.

What was wrong with the turnout last night? We had 5 running DSMs, and 7 SoFla members. There has been worse.

Sorry, Aramis. I had a friend in high school that spelled his name the way I spelled it.

He doesn't strike me as a we-todd (or a glutton for punishment), so I doubt he drove up there in the DSM.

Yeah even though I probably would've got there faster in the talon I still took a plane. It was only 150 bucks round trip on Continental.
Probably go back next month to hangout instead of working on the house. You planning on a trip to jersey "O"?

Flying is easy so long as you're smart about it and plan ahead.

I get to FLL 30mins before my flight, check in, walk through security, and then usually walk right on the plane.

At IAD I usually get there ~15 minutes earlier because you have to walk further to the plane terminal from the main terminal (10 minute walk).

For Christmas flights get there another 15min early to allow for stupid people on the security line. Make sure you take ALL of your junk out of your pockets before you get to the checkpoint, no metal on your person, and no liquids, gels, powders, pills, etc at all with you. Toothpaste and deoderant are cheap, so just get travel sizes when you get there. Security people like you when you are quick and not a cow they need to herd, so BE PREPARED (have your ID and ticket in your hand, etc. etc.). Don't be one of those assholes who has to spend 10 minutes looking for their ID. This pisses TSB people off as everyone else on line is going to get pissed at them for it. When they're cranky, they're more likely to be a prick about things.

Checking baggage is a waste of time. Learn how to pack and you'll be able to just use your carry on items for everything (you'll also have less to worry about and deal with later).

Remember, you can bring a backpack, medium sized duffle bag, and a coat on board, so you don't need to pack your coat -- carry it. The backpack goes under the seat in front of you, and your clothes go in the duffle bag in the overhead bin.

Walk in, walk on, walk out.

Planning ahead is definelty the most important thing. As well
as having alot of patience, to deal with all of the "cows"
as Sillycon so adequately put it....
