Post subject:  Hola from Miami

Hi everyone! My name's Kat and I recently moved to Miami from NYC.

I have a 1996 Eclipse GS-T Spyder (white w/ black top), which is currently a work in progress. Hope to make it out to any upcoming meets to see other DSMs in the area!

Welcome Kat, are you just visiting or going to be in south Fl. for a while?

I ask because I'm from NY as well and I do miss it.

Haha. Thanks guys. I've only been in Miami for a month, so I'll be here for a while. Are your meets still every other Sunday?

Based on looking at your sig pics, your DSMs look like they're all in great condition. With my car, you're forewarned. It really looks like a work in progress haha (currently have silver bumpers & a fender, missing parts of the side skirts, dents/dings).

I don't know about the other dudes on here, but I don't care what shape your shit is in; as long as you're a chick driving a dsm you get a pass in my book.

God I hope you're a chick.

Don't let my signature fool you.

That was my car in it's glory days.

It doesn't look that good anymore. :(

The really sad part is, it's only been about a year since those pictures.

Lol. I am a chick, so no need to worry about that.

I'll be at the meet this Sunday, as long it's not raining haha.

No, that comment wasn't toward you if not toward the admin "BigO".
Lol don't take it personal I was just messing around. :P

If you show on Sunday, you'll likely understand. :)

As far as work in progress, all of our cars are. Hell, these days most of us can't even manage to get our DSM out to the meet anymore -- we have to take the DD/backup/"other" car.

Hahaha. That's how it was for the NYC DSM club. Most people had their DSMs on blocks.

I don't have another car, so if this dies I'll be grounded.

he's also selling all the parts necesary to do the swap as well, although shipping would probably hurt.

Check this one out http://www.automotivearticles.com/AWD_Conversion.shtml. It's really not that hard when you know what you are doing.
I would not doubt about doing it again.

Guy in Coral Springs has a full swap for sale, I believe he wanted $1.5k for everything. Subframe, driveshaft, tranny, transfer case, etc.

No, he's in Sunrise/downtown Ft. Laud.; not Coral Springs.

o_O

If I had the money and the time to study the process, I'd buy the parts. Just a little hectic for me at the moment. Still trying to find a job and study for the GRE, as well as getting ready to apply for grad schools/getting my portfolio ready.
