What "they" were saying is that you should've pulled to the side once it blew. As slow as those Moroso fucktards are at cleaning stuff up, it's amazing there were any more runs that evening.

I know what they wanted. I know I should have pulled over. I never saw smoke until I turned off. I thought I blew an intercooler pipe.

My mess was one of the easiest to clean up. They were done in 20 minutes. Keep in mind, I was in the staging lanes for over an hour prior to that because others didn't pull off the track.

I'm not saying it was your fault or that you're stupid for not pulling over. I know that with all your track experience that you would've done something if you'd known you were traling oil.

I"m just saying that from an outsider's point of view, it did look kinda bad, especially when the track announcer woman came on the loudspeaker right afterwards and "reminded" drivers to pull over immediately after breaking so that they wouldn't have to clean the whole track. I know YOU know this, but the way it was handled, they made you look like you didn't.

Exactly, because they think they know everything.
When your in a 10sec(now a 9sec car 8) ) car and something
goes wrong, you have alot on your mind. Plus, Joe
already said that he has no mirrors in the car.

And from my view, when Joe or anybody gets in there car.
They look pretty straped down, so it probably not easy
to turn around and see that your smoking from your exhaust....

Turn around? What? You can barely see out the side windows when you're strapped in tight.

This must've been the reason for that carbon fiber mirror comment earlier.

Seriously... had I seen smoke, I'd have pulled over. Do you pull over on the track for a blown intercooler pipe or a fuckin' misfire?

Seriously, I realize that. No one is saying otherwise. Calm down.

The funny part to me is that the track officals were talking about a diaper, but the outcome would have been no different had I had a diaper on the car. The oil came out the exhaust.

I don't really care much. It's not my home track and if it was, they would have understood. Last time I raced Moroso was 2000. Next time might be another 7 years.

They certainly are a bunch of retards, that's for damn sure. I wish I lived closer to Bradenton...

Fucking whaaaa.
Someone got some oil on a drag strip.
Lord knows that never happens.

I always though Moroso put thier own oil on the track as slippery as seems to be.

I didn't think it needed lightening; I thought we were all on the same page already. Let me sum up:

1) The Moroso fucktards didn't know that Joe couldn't tell he was smoking, so they tried to make it look like it was his fault and made a PA announcement.

2) The Moroso fucktards take for-freaking-ever to clean up oil spills and it disrupts the flow and gets everyone frustrated.

I thought we all agreed on that-- there's no argument here. I'm not trying to blame Joe for anything, just relaying how it looked from the stands.

oh, and:

3) I think the only cars to run 7s, 8s, or 9s that day were all V-8s.

It seems to me that of late, Moroso has gotten wind of just how bad their reputation has been. As I understand it, they've gone through two track managers in the last month in a quest to improve it.

The track has been grippier than ever the last couple of weeks, and they seem to be having fewer "getting loose" down-track issues now too. The big buzz going around is that this whole revamp project is to try and get on the Poweraid series track roster (which IMO would just be freaking awsome).

Joe, you got a few rednecks getting ass hurt because you raped that v8 shit pile 1st round, so when you have a little "oopsie" they do whatever they can to make a big deal out of nothing to try and show how "inferior" the superior import is. There just happen to be more rednecks around Moroso than I think you're used to.

That "V8 is always better" attitude seems to be changing though (except for Doug apparently  ). Just have to wait and see.

I'm telling you, the last NHRA Sport Compact event I went to at Moroso, 3 cars went on their roofs. It was rediculous.

 You know I kid-- I rep the 4G63 more than you know on other boards. 8)

Yeah, I've heard kinda the same thing about them trying to change their rep, and how they're trying to bring the big dogs back to town. I agree that it would be a very good thing if they could.

That's still no excuse for you not having a diaper and oiling down the whole track though.

Honestly, I *REALLY* don't think you got much, if any, oil on the track given the volume of smoke coming out of the car...
